Why Workplace Preparation Matters

Entering the workplace requires more than having a qualification or submitting a CV. New employees must understand professional expectations, communicate appropriately, manage responsibilities and work productively with different people.

However, many first-time work seekers have had limited opportunities to practise these skills. As a result, they may struggle to present themselves during recruitment or to adjust when they enter a structured working environment.

Therefore, this Workplace Preparation Skills Programme connects job-search preparation with the everyday realities of work. Participants learn what employers expect and practise how to respond professionally.

Who Should Attend?

  • Young people preparing to enter the workplace.
  • Unemployed work seekers pursuing new opportunities.
  • Graduates preparing for internships or entry-level roles.
  • Interns who need structured workplace-readiness support.
  • Employees who need to strengthen foundational professional skills.
  • Organisations preparing new entrants for workplace participation.

By completing the programme, participants should be better prepared to manage both the recruitment process and everyday workplace responsibilities.
